A global pharma client needed two connected pieces: a reliable way to get payer data into their core web app, and a better way to present that data once it was there.
Data Pipeline Consolidation
Payer data was scattered across multiple spreadsheets per payer, per month, feeding into the core web app. The process of reconciling and uploading it was fragile and manual: download, edit, then upload in a specific order to a network drive. Only one person in the entire org knew how to do it correctly.
Our team identified where we could intercept the pipeline, and I designed the experience around that. The system now notifies the user (and can scale to multiple users) as data comes in, automatically identifying what’s new or changed. Rather than manually reconciling every entry, the user makes a few dropdown selections for the new entries and hits publish. The cognitive load drops to just the decisions that actually need a human.
Exploring next: AI-assisted validation and further automation to reduce manual selection even further. This pipeline has real scalability potential across other data-heavy workflows in the platform.
Table Builder
Once that data reached the core web app and was processed, users needed a way to present their findings. I built an Excel-like table-editing experience directly within the platform, so users could customize data views without leaving the app. This finally delivered the consistency the governance team required for approval, after that requirement had slowed releases for months.
